The World of Plastics Makes for a Better Recipe

Integral's shares are thinly traded on the OTC Bulletin Board and has
a market capitalization of about $31 million, with 5,000 shareholders.
Integral said Electriplast can be used in antennas, shielding, lighting
circuitry, switch actuators, resistors, medical devices, thermal management
and cable connector bodies, among others and represents a bright future
for so many applications.
Also known as Plastena, this inexpensive material conducts
heat, electricity and radio- frequency energy nearly as well as copper,
yet it can be mixed with rigid or flexible plastics and formed into
just about any shape plastic can take on.
Thomas Aisenbrey is the inventor of "ElectriPlast," and arrived at Integral,
Bellingham, from Panasonic three years ago and holds two patents on
the substance and has 44 more pending.
Electriplast isn't on the market yet, but trials are going on at four
Fortune 100 companies, and major handset makers have expressed strong
interest.
A patent search revealed nothing like it, cleared the way for intensive
development, third-party testing and commercialization perhaps as early
as this year.
An independent testing lab verified some of Aisenbrey's claims.
The company plans to introduce its Electriplast technology on a global
scale.
Polyone Corporation featured
inherently conductive polymers (ICPs), which have similar electrical
conductivity properties to metals and inorganic semiconductors, but
are lighter, easier to process and more environmentally friendly at
last year's National Plastics Expo (NPE). ICPs can be used in corrosion-resistant
coatings, anti-static fabrics and packaging, EMI/RFI shielding, and
electronic products.
