Packaging products supplier grabs award

Supplier Quality Management committee of Hormel Foods recognizes consistent packaging services and much more from CROWN Closures Americas.

Crown Holdings, Inc., a leading supplier of packaging products to consumer marketing companies, announces that its CROWN Closures Americas subsidiary has received a prestigious “Spirit of Excellence” Award from Hormel Foods Corporation. The company presents the award annually to those companies who have attained service standards of excellence and have assisted the company in its quest for superior customer satisfaction.

Crown supplies Hormel Foods with a wide range of metal closure sizes and packaging styles for all of the company’s food items, including CHI-CHI’s® Salsas and Dips, HORMEL® Bacon Toppings and HORMEL® Dried Beef.

To qualify for a “Spirit of Excellence” award, suppliers must meet or exceed specific requirements established by the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) committee of Hormel Foods. Eligible companies are then selected according to various performance criteria, including deliveries, administrative support, product quality, customer service and plant quality audits.
