Distrupol Nordic new polystyrenes distributor

The new distributor for NOVA Innovene’s portfolio of polystyrenes is Distrupol Nordic AB in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Effective July 1st, 2006, Distrupol Nordic is the new distributor for NOVA Innovene’s full range of polystyrene products, including all of its innovative specialities, in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Distrupol Nordic previously distributed polystyrenes from Innovene prior to its joint venture with NOVA Chemicals polystyrene business.

“Distrupol is delighted that NOVA Innovene has committed to working through Distrupol in Scandinavia,” says Petri Karhu, managing director of Distrupol Nordic AB. “We are also very pleased to be able to offer our customers here a broader portfolio of market leading products”.

NOVA Innovene, headquartered in Fribourg, Switzerland, is the European styrenic polymers joint venture between NOVA Chemicals and INEOS who acquired BP's Innovene in December 2005.

NOVA Innovene has a comprehensive range of general purpose and high impact polystyrene, suitable for injection moulding, extrusion and thermoforming processes. They are tailored for use in a variety of consumer products that help facilitate everyday life, from razors, pens, kitchen tools, office accessories, food packaging, to leisure and entertainment. Its range of general purpose polystyrene (GPPS) grades cover the full spectrum of customer requirements - from excellent flow properties to high heat resistance, gloss and lubrication, while its high impact polystyrene (HIPS) grades deliver impact resistance and toughness.
