Chemicals company Dow leadership in energy efficiency Alliance to Save Energy highlights Dow's focus on energy efficiency within their company and by producing chemicals and products that help everyone save energy.
Recognizing Dow's industry leadership in promoting energy efficiency
within the company and among other energy consumers, the Alliance to Save
Energy this week published an interview with Andrew Liveris, president,
CEO and chairman-elect, on Dow's commitment to environmental stewardship
and effective energy management. This interview was distributed to approximately
19,000 policy makers, influencers and other efficiency enthusiasts with
interests in energy efficiency and U.S. energy policy. "High energy prices are a critical issue for all American consumers, including the manufacturing sector," Andrew said in the interview. "Dow is committed to doing its share to be part of the solution to America's energy challenges - not only through supporting important campaigns like The Power is in Your Hands, but by continuing to focus on energy efficiency within our own company and by producing products that help everyone save energy."
The Alliance to Save Energy is a non-profit organization that promotes
energy efficiency worldwide to achieve a healthier economy, a cleaner
environment, and greater energy security. In December 2005, Dow announced a major corporate sponsorship of The Alliance to Save Energy's The Power is in Your Hands energy efficiency campaign, designed to help U.S. energy consumers save money and energy this winter. Through this campaign, valuable energy savings tips and tools are available to all energy consumers online at powerisinyourhands.org.
