Machine packaging automation biz increases local presence

Elau significantly strengthens its presence in Scandinavia and the BeNeLux countries by establishing new packaging automation technology subsidiaries.

Elau is establishing these wholly owned subsidiaries to ensure its OEMs based in these countries receive responsive service and support.

Based in Helsingborg, Sweden, the new Elau Scandinavia AB will serve customers in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. Managing Director Lars Andersson and his team of five sales and applications engineers all have a longstanding experience in the field of packaging automation. A former sales manager at a Swedish systems integrator, Lars Andersson is is familiar with Elau’s PacDrive technology and customer base.

Elau AG, part of the Schneider Electric Group, is one of the most experienced players in machine automation technology. Elau focuses its resources exclusively on the automation of machines for the consumer packaging industry.

Elau B.V. BeNeLux in Eindhoven, The Netherlands has opened for business with a team of four applications engineers and sales representatives providing packaging automation. This increased local presence will support market share growth in Belgium as well as the Netherlands. Eindhoven, located close to the Belgian border, is the high technology and machine engineering hub of the region.

Eric van den Broek, Sales Director of Elau B.V., offers nearly 15 years of experience in applications engineering, project management and sales of high-tech automation products. Immediately following the launch of the subsidiary in the Netherlands, he identified excellent opportunities for winning key customers. Van den Broek sees great potential in the Dutch packaging automation industry, in particular for PacDrive robotic and Intelligent Servo Module technologies.
