The filters meet exacting standards set by the American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for the removal
of allergen particles and carry MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value)
ratings derived from an ASHRAE test method. The higher the MERV rating
the better the filter is at trapping specific types of particles. DuPont
air filters have MERV ratings of 8, 11 and 12.

in Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse stores in the Southeast and in
select Florida Wal-Mart outlets. They will be offered in other parts
of the country soon.

bed pillows, linens and comforters -- can also help control allergens
