From January 25 to 27, 2006, chemicals group LANXESS will showcase its wide range of inorganic pigments for the concrete industry at ICCX (the International Concrete Conference & Exhibition) at the Berlin Conference Center. This company is presenting its Bayferrox® and chrome oxide green products, available in various forms, at stand B 20. The product range for coloring building materials has now been extended with the addition of the premium iron oxide black Bayferrox® 360, enabling blue-black colors to be produced. Compared to Bayferrox® 330, the previously strongest black from LANXESS, Bayferrox® 360 has a far stronger blue hue and is around 30 percent more intensive. The products are of high quality and are simple and environmentally friendly to process.

In addition to powder pigments, the LANXESS Inorganic Pigments business unit also produces Bayferrox® C compact pigments and Bayferrox® G granules. The products in the primary colors red, yellow, and black possess good flow properties, greatly facilitating transportation from the weighing machine to the mixer.

LANXESS sells user-friendly pigment suspensions, used for manufacturing in-situ concrete, precast concrete parts and paving stones, through its partner Harold Scholz & Co. GmbH of Bergisch Gladbach. Testing institutes have certified the pigment suspensions, enabling them to be used for reinforced and unreinforced concrete in accordance with EN 12 878. Scholz will also be at the joint stand to present dosing technology innovations for powder pigments. It markets LANXESS pigments in Germany and the Benelux countries.

The Inorganic Pigments business unit generated sales of between EUR 200 and 500 million in 2004 and is part of the Chemical Intermediates segment. This sector achieved sales of EUR 1.487 billion in fiscal 2004.
