ABS specialist visualizes advantages in pigmenting plastics

When it comes to colored ABS specialties, the LANXESS chemical group is a strong and global partner for its customers. The Lustran Polymers Business Unit is backing up this claim in the company’s latest image campaign. Original advertising motifs focusing on the Lustran* top brand highlight the advantages of pre-colored plastics over self-pigmentation. The claim “The Colorful Difference” gives vivid and effective expression to the company’s expertise when it comes to coloring ABS plastics.

The colorful image campaign recently launched by Lustran Polymers is already running in German trade journals and is soon to be launched throughout Europe. There are also plans for it to be extended to the Asian and American markets. The advertisement motifs underscore the company’s know-how and the benefits of pre-colored plastics. One particular motif, for example, shows an unusual attempt to color a rose. Another demonstrates that an individual color blend is as unique as a fingerprint.

“We have many years of experience in pigmenting plastics, a fact which gives our customers a decisive competitive edge. Our expertise in the area of compounding colored plastics sets standards in the industry,” explains Hans-Joachim Kogelnik, head of Lustran Polymers.

The Color Excellence Centers we have established in each of our regions are very important in this context. The teams located there develop color formulations based on customers’ precise specifications. Every ABS grade is available worldwide within narrowly defined tolerances in the color the customer requires. This is made possible by a global color database where customer-specific colors can be stored along with their associated colorimetric data.
