Saltigo part of chemicals group LANXESS at CPhI 2006

Saltigo GmbH, subsidiary of leading chemicals group LANXESS, to present its range of solutions in the fields of custom synthesis and custom manufacturing at CPhI 2006, Paris.

 

The wholly owned subsidiary of the LANXESS chemical group, Saltigo GmbH (at CPhI 2006, October 3-5, 2006, Paris, stand no. 5H06), offers tailored solutions for the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries and specialty chemistry. Its range of services primarily includes the development, piloting and production of active substances and advanced intermediates.

Its comprehensive service ranges from the fast, expert processing of customer inquiries to flexible project management and the timely provision of products. "We support our customers throughout the entire life cycle of their products while complying with national and international requirements and the principles of sustained development. By doing so, we aim to profile ourselves as a custom service provider with a long-term strategy," says Dr. Axel Westerhaus, Managing Director of Saltigo. "Our service provider strategy consists of combining professional outsourcing, state-of-the art process development and continuous improvement to achieve a high degree of flexibility and reliability and keep the overall cost of the products that we supply to customers as low as possible."

CPhI Worldwide opens its doors at Paris-Nord, Villepinte, France, from 3-5 October. For three days Paris will be the pharmaceutical meeting place for over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 21,000 attendees.

Saltigo’s wide-ranging reaction and technology portfolio includes phosgene reactions, high-pressure hydrogenations, carbonylations and fluorinations. The experienced Leverkusen-based custom manufacturing service provider has a broad technology portfolio in its multipurpose plants which is capable of dealing with challenging chemistries - from temperatures down to minus 120° C, high pressure up to 200 bar, or the use of critical substances such as hydrogen fluoride and phosgene.

Saltigo is also well prepared for production under CGMP (Current Good-Manufacturing-Practise) conditions. "We will also expand our existing CGMP capacities to allow us to respond quickly to market demands. Here too, we will react flexibly to customers’ needs. We’re currently in the process of analyzing and evaluating different options and will reach a decision in the next few weeks," says Westerhaus.
