New cutting machinery for Shanghai Wanzhong Automotive Fagor Arrasate to supply Shanghai Wanzhong Automotive Components with a large blanking line and a press line with progressive dies.
With this new order 10 million Euro order, Fagor Arrasate continues to lead cutting sector for car components in China, as this order comes after the recent installation of a large blanking line at the Baosteel company, together with another line which is currently being installed in the new Thyssen plant in the north of China. Cutting lines with a press or blanking lines are indispensable in the manufacturing process for car bodywork. Fagor Arrasate is a recognised specialist worldwide in the design and supply of such lines, not just in China but in many other countries, having supplied installations of this type in the United States, Europe, Australia and Asia. The blanking line that Fagor Arrasate will be supplying to the Chinese car manufacturer Shanghai Wanzhong, will process high strength steel coils of up to 30 tonnes in weight, in widths of 2,000 mm and thicknesses of up to 4.5 mm. The blanking press will enable any shape to be cut, depending on the model of car being manufactured and will have a capacity of 1,000 metric tonnes.
The following stand out among the machines also included in this installation: a coil store, a loading car, an electronic uncoiler, a coil preparation system with removal of offcuts, a leveller, a cyclical feeder, an automatic mechanical press and an elecrtomagnetic stacker. The longest parts that can be cut measure 4,000 mm in length. Fagor Arrasate is also to supply a second installation, consisting of a big 10,000 KN press, with a coil feeding line specialising in working with progressive dies. The size of this machine is 4500 x 2400 mm with a maximum speed of 60 parts a minute. The material, also high strength steel, can have a thickness of up to 4 mm and a maximum width of 1150 mm. In 2006, Fagor Arrasate recorded a historic record in terms of sales
with a turnover totalling 142 million euros, 20% more then in 2005, of
which 90% corresponded to exports, which in turn, increased spectacularly
by 61%. The company is currently building a plant in China, on the Kunshan
industrial estate, close to Shanghai and promoted by the MCC (Mondragón
Corporacion Cooperativa), which will start production in 2008. Automotive Manufacturing Jobs - Post Employment Opportunity!
