North Charleston, S.C. USA, March 11, 2005 - Jobwerx News - The Chicopee division of Polymer Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: POLGA; POLGB) ("PGI"), announces new products in three categories of foodservice towels with the introduction of several improved fabrics.

New product offerings in three categories:

. Improved fabrics in its Chix with Microban(R) and Chix Utility towel lines to provide better particle pickup, rinsing and scrubbing capabilities.
. New Chix Quat-Safe™ towels, designed to maintain the integrity of quaternary sanitizers, to help ensure restaurants and other foodservice providers meet food safety standards and keep their patrons safe.
. New Chix All Day™ towels that are durable, absorbent and can be used for multiple cleaning applications in the course of a day, providing a cost-effective alternative to paper towels.

Food Safety First
The new Quat-Safe towels are engineered with a patented chemistry designed not to deplete quaternary sanitizer solutions, which are used to sanitize wiping cloths and food preparation surfaces.

Traditional foodservice towels consistently deplete sanitizer solutions by as much as 62 percent after four hours, according to results of an internal study. In testing, compared to traditional nonwovens, terry and linen towels, Quat-Safe towels consistently performed above the 200 parts per million (PPM) level that assures food code standards are being met.

Quat-Safe™ is the first of several new products that Chicopee will introduce that are engineered to be compatible with commonly used cleaning solutions in food service.

New and Improved Fabrics
The company is also offering new designs in its Chix® Utility and Chix Foodservice Towels with Microban® Antimicrobial Product Protection. Made with a hydroentanglement manufacturing process, these towels feature better scrubbability and more apertures to capture food particles and easily rinse for reuse. Towels are color-coded to prevent cross contamination.

"These new fabric designs differentiate our latest Chix products from look-alike competitor offerings, guaranteeing customers will get the high performance they expect when purchasing a Chicopee product," said Scott Tracey, Vice President Sales and Marketing for PGI's Chicopee division.

Chicopee's All Day™ towels, made of pulp and polyester fibers, are more durable compared to regular paper products, making them ideal for multiple cleaning jobs in a day. These absorbent towels with textured surfaces pick up particles and rinse easily.

2004 was a year of tremendous success for PGI where sales grew 8.6% to $844.7 million. Volume growth in Latin America from new capacity installations and from new product introductions and stronger base volumes in North America contributed. Gross profit increased 20.3% in the fourth quarter and 13.4% for the full year, compared to the prior year periods.
