Press Release-November 9, 2004-Jobwerx News-Chicopee,
Inc., a division of Polymer Group, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: POLGA;
POLGB), announced the expansion of its product offerings for the industrial
and institutional cleaning market with the introduction of new wiping
products and packaging.
Chicopee - which also produces leading dusting brands, Masslinn(R) and
Stretch N' Dust(R) - introduced DuraWipe(R) Xtra wipes, a robust new
wiping product line that offers superior performance for tough cleaning.
The new wipes feature textured cleaning surfaces, added bulkiness, wet
and dry strength, enhanced absorption, and compatibility with cleaning
solvents and oil.
PGI, through its Chicopee subsidiary, offers a wide array of wiping
products from home to factory… foodservice to sterile clean rooms… hospitals
to the automotive industry…they offer a wide array of wiping products
to meet almost any need. Their focus on health and safety for our customers
and consumers is achieved through commitment to innovation and introduction
of new products, such as wipes with antimicrobial protection. The Chix®
brand, which is internationally recognized, represents the highest quality
products that are marketed in the foodservice, janitorial, consumer

The company also is offering products in its DuraWipe(R) and general
purpose Chux(R) cleaning lines in a variety of popular put-ups, such
as pop-up boxes, for easy dispensing and added convenience for janitorial
cleaning. It will debut the new products and packaging this week at
the International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA) show in New Orleans.
PGI's new DuraWipe(R) Xtra products are made using hydroentangling manufacturing
processes with wood pulp and polyester. Available in blue or white with
textures, they come packaged in pop-up boxes or polybags.
The company also introduced new products in its Chux(R) line, including
five new double-recreped (DRC) towels available in heavy duty and medium
strengths that offer a highly absorbent cloth-like feel, and wet/dry
durability and capabilities. PGI added a four-ply scrim towel that provides
low linting and absorbency and a tear resistant scrim for light duty
tasks.
PGI operates in two segments: Consumer Products and Industrial and Specialty
Products. Within these segments, PGI is proud to serve the major markets
of Hygiene, Wipes, Medical, and Industrial and Specialty. Recently the
company relocated its branded products headquarters from from Dayton,
New Jersey, to Mooresville, North Carolina.
