Seattle, WA/Blackburn, Lancashire, U.K.-- May 18, 2004-- Crown Paints has become the latest high profile brand to adopt plastic packaging from RPC Containers.

The launch of the Crown Retail Colours range in 2.5 and 5 litre Fabcans from RPC Blackburn follows extensive research into the market by Crown, which concluded that consumers increasingly favour the convenience of plastic containers over all other forms of paint packaging.

"Crown is recognised as a premium brand and our packaging has to reflect this position," explains Joe Devitt - Crown Paints Retail Marketing Director. "We are therefore responding to the needs and preferences of our customers with the introduction of these new plastic packs."

The Fabcans are post-mould labelled to maximise their decoration potential. The striking, colourful labels feature individual flowers to group the different colour families in the range. Each label design is complemented by the Crown logo in foil blocking to create effective brand awareness and reinforcement on shelf. Silver lids complete this eye-catching look.

"The plastic containers are an ideal combination of practical features - such as easy handling, no rusting or denting - and image-enhancing appeal," concludes Devitt.
