Plastics Packaging Copolymer
Blend
Has Wide Thermoforming Window
Copolymer blend for thermoforming plastics packaging in both medical
and frozen food applications provides performance and cost benefits.
Rollprint Packaging Products, Inc., Addison, IL introduces ClearForm*
a low-cost, high-performance formable bottom web polymeric blend.
ClearForm* thermoformable bottom web is an economical option for thermoform
filling and sealing packaging applications in both medical and frozen
food end-use markets.
ClearForm* is a proprietary copolymer blend which offers outstanding toughness
and exceptional clarity, along with an unusually wide thermoforming processing
window. As an alternative to traditional bottom webs such as EVA/Surlyn/EVA,
nylon coextruded films, and other PE-based polymeric blends, it provides
these critical performance benefits at reduced cost.
When coupled with Rollprint’s Allegro® line of peelable top webs, the
total package offers machine-friendly forming and sealing characteristics,
excellent end-use durability and a smooth, peelable, tamper evident seal
that is second to none. Also appropriate for use with coated Tyvek or
paper, ClearForm* is suitable for both EtO and gamma sterilization.
Rollprint says the polymer ClearForm* can also
be used for sterile medical packaging.

Flexible Packaging (Pte.), the newly-formed joint venture between Rollprint
Packaging and Acme Packaging of Singapore. Ideal applications include
sterile medical packaging (drapes, surgical gloves, medical devices, etc.)
and frozen food products (poultry, meat, seafood, vegetables, baked goods,
etc.).
With manufacturing facilities near Chicago, IL and Hartford, CT, Rollprint
