Packaging container offers real prestige Packaging manufacturer combines injection moulding and thermoformed co-extrusion to provide a stylish new design for the Dairygold new spreads container.
RPC’s commitment to specialization in manufacturing has been rewarded
by Breeo Foods’ decision to relaunch its Dairygold spreads range
in a stylish new design that features an in-mould labelled (IML) base
from RPC Containers Old Dalby and a co-extruded lid from RPC Containers
Hereford.
The new design runs on Dairygold’s production lines with minimal
changes, allowing the company to continue to fill the existing pack, which
has been retained for some of Dairygold’s customers, alongside the
new IML design. A new label placement system and new mould tooling was
delivered to RPC Old Dalby in close co-operation with the technical department
at RPC Hereford. The thermoformed lid is co-extruded in gold and white by RPC Hereford to give a distinctive effect, whilst the image is further enhanced by a self-adhesive label. RPC Hereford developed new tooling for the bespoke lid and the label application utilized existing equipment. “The new spreads container offers real prestige in both its aesthetic
and functional qualities,” comments Ed Moriarty, Lead Packaging
Buyer at Breeo Foods Ltd “It demonstrates the value of working with
a supplier such as RPC who can bring specialist expertise to pack manufacture.”
