RPC provides food tray packaging solution

The multi-layer barrier food tray from RPC provides a flexible packaging format that meets functional and aesthetic requirements for Mispol ready meals.

Mispol (www.mispol.pl) specialises in meat products and has a wide domestic and export business from its modern production facilities in Poland and Belarus. Consumer research suggested that Polish consumers are looking for quick and convenient ready meals in single-serve packaging, and Mispol developed a range of ambient products named “Delicious Ready Meals,” that only need to be heated for two minutes in the microwave before serving.

The Type A ready meal tray from RPC Bebo UK Corby provides a flexible packaging format that meets all of Mispol’s functional and aesthetic requirements. Barrier protection maintains the taste of the products over a nine month shelf-life, the pack is fully microwaveable, whilst its convenient shape enables the consumer to eat directly from the tray.

The ready meal is sterilised in the multi-layer PP/EVOH/PP barrier tray and sealed with barrier foil. The modern packaging design is enhanced by an eye-catching cardboard sleeve, which provides excellent on-shelf impact as well as holding the tray in place.
