America SCHUNK is driving advances with innovative product solutions. "Our products are engineered to both better grip the part and improve process security and safety, " said Henrik Schunk, President of SCHUNK USA. "We listened to the demands of the oil-patch industry and are providing innovations such as adjustable self-contained air chucks, spring actuated chucks, wireless chuck monitoring devices and chuck jaw solutions aimed at solutions in this particular industry segment." Over the past five years, Okuma has made great gains in understanding and adapting to the Oil Country industry. “Our lathe products have always provided the top tier of accuracy and reliability in manufacturing. Our approach was to understand the Oil Industries needs. Then we engineered our machines to accommodate the demands they needed”, said Larry Schwartz, President and COO of Okuma America Corporation. “Our One Source design concept allowed us to design our LOC lathes with 7.87”, 14.75” and 22” spindle bores for pipe along with our Okuma OSP control allowing for technologies such as our variable spindle speed threading and harmonic spindle speed control.” Offering these advances and options packaged together will provide synergistic
