NORDMILCH chose filling machines from SIG Combibloc for expansion NORDMILCH Group expands dairy business segment and invests in four new machines from SIG Combibloc for filling beverage cartons.
Our focused efforts in the German dairy segment continue to bear fruit:
the long-standing and successful cooperation between the SIG Combibloc
division and Germany’s NORDMILCH Group
The shape of combiSwift, a cap system that fully satisfies the high
convenience requirements of demanding consumers with impressive opening
characteristics of combiSwift based on an new kind of technology. The
three-part screw cap is applied to a coated hole – a concept that
makes it possible for the aseptic beverage carton to be easily opened
without effort. Optimum efficiency is ensured, in particular, by the new high-speed machines for medium-sized packs. For the first time ever, they allow an output of 12.000 cartons per hour, including application of the closures, to be achieved. Says Manfred Feldmann, Head of the Production Centre for Dairy Products, when explaining why NORDMILCH chose filling machines from SIG Combibloc, “This output capacity is matched by enormous flexibility, both in terms of the products themselves and volume changeovers.” For the future, NORDMILCH is relying exclusively on SIG Combibloc technology for filling its beverage cartons at Zeven.
When the combiSwift carton is first opened, the ring integrated into the flange pierces the wafer-thin layers of aluminium and polyethylene, easily and cleanly with a single twisting motion. This especially simple handling gives combiSwift a decisive advantage in winning the favour of consumers. Extensive handling tests and consumer surveys confirm the ease and convenience of opening. A further advantage is that combiSwift comes with a three-bridge opening
guarantee. The consumer can tell at a glance whether or not the original
seal of the carton is still intact. To re-seal the carton, the cap is
simply screwed back on. Find
