We will be showcasing the Edale Sigma servo-driven packaging press, which so far has had a very warm reception by printers, with seven of these presses being sold in the last six months. One of the reasons for the Sigma's phenomenal success could be due to its flexibility. The press can print on substrates as thin as 12 micron films and as thick as 700 micron rigid PVC.

On our stand we will be handing out sample packs, showing the Sigma's capability to handle different packaging films. The Sigma at Drupa will be a 510 mm web width press running a UV flexo shrink sleeve application developed for high impact container decoration – a process that is growing at an incredible rate. To guarantee excellent heat management of the substrate the machine will also be equipped with a sophisticated water cooled UV drying system supplied by IST.
