June 12, 2004 -- Westlake Village, California, USA -- Surfware, Inc.,
makers of SURFCAM CAD/CAM systems, and MachineWorks, Ltd., supplier
of simulation and verification solutions, announced the formation of
a strategic agreement that combines SURFCAM's computer-aided manufacturing
(CAM) functionality with MachineWorks™ tool path verification and machine
tool simulation technology. The new MachineWorks verification will be
fully integrated within the SURFCAM manufacturing product line, providing
its customers with a complete set of tools to proof their tool path
motion.
Through superior visualization and analysis capabilities, MachineWorks™
technology helps ensure that the part program in question will accurately
and efficiently machine the as-designed part. "Accurate information
to assist in the cut analysis is vital to toolpath optimization", comments
David Manley, Managing Director of MachineWorks. "SURFCAM™ has a great
name in the market and we are pleased that Surfware recognizes the strength
of our verification solution".
MachineWorks technology will be available in the next release of SURFCAM,
slated to release July 2004. Joe McChesney, Surfware Product
